STRAWBERRY  PIE

 

 

 

1 Baked Pie Shell (shallow)

 

About 1 Pint of fresh strawberries

 

½ Small package of Strawberry Jello

 

½  Cup Sugar

 

½ cup Water

 

2 Tablespoons White Karo

 

2 Tablespoons Corn Starch

 

Cool Whip (optional)

 

 

 

Slice strawberries and place on bottom of baked pie shell. 

 

Mix water, sugar, Karo, and corn starch and cook until thick.

 

Stirring constantly.  Once it thickens, continue cooking for two

 

Or three minutes.  Remove from stove and add Jello.  Stir until

 

Dissolved.  Pour over strawberries.  Chill until firm.  Cool Whip

 

May be added to entire pie or to individual slices.
