POPEYE’S  (CHICKEN RESTAURANT)  BISCUITS

 

 

 4 Cups Buttermilk Biscuit mix

 

1 Cup Sour Cream

 

¾  Cup Club Soda

 

¼  Cup Melted Butter

 

½  Cup Melted Butter in pan

 

 

 

Measure and mix dry ingredients in a bowl.  Make a well in center and pour in sour

 

 cream, club soda and ¼ cup butter.  Mix gently until all dry ingredients are wet.

 

Pour dough onto well-floured surface.  Knead gently until not sticky, looks smooth

 

(about 10-15 times).  Pat out ½”  thick.  But with well-floured biscuit cutter.

 

Roll biscuits (top and bottom) in butter in pan.  Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes.
